Coalición Nacional Latina sobre el Cambio Climático (NLCCC)
As climate change poses significant challenges and opportunities for low income and minority communities, three Hispanic organizations have joined forces to launch the National Latino Coalition on Climate Change (NLCCC). The National Puerto Rican Coalition (NPRC), the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) and the Hispanic Federation are working collaboratively to ensure that Latinos have an integral voice in the national dialogue on climate change.
The primary goals of this group are to help raise awareness about global warming in Latino communities and to build the capacity needed to support grassroots advocacy efforts through research, policy, and educational outreach.
In order to best understand what we can and should be doing to protect ourselves and our environment, let's start by answering some key questions:

A medida que el cambio climático genera importantes desafíos y oportunidades para las minorías y las comunidades de bajos ingresos, tres grandes organizaciones hispanas han unidos sus fuerzas para lanzar la Coalición Nacional Latina sobre el Cambio Climático (NLCCC). La Coalición Nacional de Puerto Rico (NPRC), el Consejo Sindical para el Avance del Trabajador Latino-Americano (LCLAA) y la Federación Hispana (Hispanic Federation) trabajan conjuntamente para asegurar que los Latinos tengan voz en el dialogo nacional acerca del cambio climático.
Esta coalición tiene como propósito aumentar el conocimiento sobre el cambio climático y el calentamiento global en las comunidades latinas, fomentando la capacidad necesaria para emprender acciones de abogacia al nivel comunitario, a través de la investigación, la política, y un acercamiento educativo a la comunidad.
