Congressman Martin Heinrich (NM-1) speaks at NLCCC briefing in Albuquerque, NM.

Rep. Heinrich and Rep. Lujan highlighted the importance of the NLCCC’s work and explained that the strongest leadership comes from communities of color. The Congressmen discussed the environmental challenges that New Mexico is encountering with wild fires, increasing temperatures and declines in precipitation, and remarked that Latinos bear the brunt of many of these impacts.
