On January 19, 2010, Lillian Rodriguez-Lopez, NLCCC Vice Chair and President of the Hispanic Federation held Latinos Going Green, a briefing with the goal to inform, educate and empower nonprofits on how they can lead a Latino climate change movement.

REGIONAL LATINO LEADERSHIP BRIEFING IN RALEIGH, NC

On December 14th, 2009, our friends at El Pueblo, Inc. co-hosted the NLCCC regional briefing at their headquarters in Raleigh, NC. The event consisted of a Leaders Roundtable and a Green Jobs Training and Employment Information Session to discuss climate change and global warming, how it impacts North Carolina, the Latino/Hispanic community, why local leaders should care, and the economic opportunities offered by the green jobs movement.
