Hector E. Sanchez, Vice-Chair
Hector E. Sanchez is the Executive Director of LCLAA (Labor Council for Latin American Advancement). He has worked in education and non-profit organizations, and has over 10 years of policy, research and community outreach experience.
Prior to coming to LCLAA, Sanchez worked at Global Exchange as the DC-Mexico Policy Education Coordinator, serving as the DC point person of a bi-national team doing policy education, research, media, community, and strategy work on the US-Mexico issues.
Before Global Exchange Sanchez was the Policy and Community Liaison for the Education Trust, where he created the Latino initiative for the organization with the goal of improving public education for the immigrant and Latino community throughout the United States.
Hector E. Sanchez was a professor of US-Mexico Relations at the Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
Working for the last decade in education, labor, human rights and immigration policy, Sanchez has been deeply engaged in the Latino community and the ongoing efforts to secure equal rights and opportunities for the emerging Latino population.
Hector has a BA and MA in Political Science from the University of Texas.
