Rafael Fantauzzi, Chair
In 1992, Rafael started working for American Airlines in Dallas/Ft. Worth. At American he also held various positions in the Sales and Human Resources Department. As a result for his involvement in American’s diversity initiatives, he was promoted to Manager of U.S. Hispanic National Organizations/Promotions in charge of building and integrating American’s U.S. based civic and community involvement business initiatives.
In 2002, he accepted the opportunity to bring the same credibility and high impact strategic exposure to Coors Brewing Company as Corporate Relations Director. In 2006, he unveiled the groundbreaking corporate citizenship program, “Coors Líderes”. The campaign focused on recognizing the contribution of key Hispanic leaders in the U.S. The Coors Líderes program was awarded the 2007 Magellan Platinum Award for Best Global Public Relations Campaign and 2007 Magellan Platinum Award for Best Communications Campaign by the League of American Communications Professionals.
In June 2008, Rafael became the President & CEO of the National Puerto Rican Coalition (NPRC), a national Hispanic nonpartisan non-profit organization based in Washington DC. Its mission is to strengthen the social, political, and economic well-being of the Puerto Rican community in the island and the mainland.
Rafael is a certified Corporate Citizenship Executive from the Boston College Carroll School of Management and a certified Executive on Corporate Governance by the Harvard Business School. He is a recent graduate of the Executive Masters in Leadership program at Georgetown University. Rafael was born and raised in San Juan Puerto Rico and currently lives in Fairfax, Virginia.
